Commercial & Office Movers in Omaha | Tetris Moving

Office and commercial moves after hours for Omaha's corporate, Offutt, and downtown businesses, built around the workweek with no downtime

What a business pays for on a move is time it does not lose: a Monday no one can spare, a lease ending on a date you cannot push, a desk count that has to be working by morning. None of that resembles a living-room job, and none of it bends to a household schedule. Most of it runs overnight, on a weekend, or after hours, so a company holds normal hours while the desks sit cabled and ready in the new space by the time anyone badges in Monday. This work stays steady in Omaha: corporate offices tied to Union Pacific, Mutual of Omaha, and First National, professional practices downtown and in Midtown, and the ordinary churn of a metro whose leases turn over on a calendar.

Our business corridors keep it flowing. Companies shift divisions around downtown and out the West Dodge corridor toward Aksarben and the western office parks; downtown and Old Market firms, practices, and nonprofits swap floors and merge; and the newer commercial buildings pile their own access demands on top. Tetris Moving clears a floor of cubicles into a brand-new building, moves an office out to an Elkhorn or Gretna campus, merges two suites into one downtown, and moves a practice’s records room and client files without misplacing a single box. Since our own W-2 crews own the job from one end to the other, no business is handing its files and hardware to a temp crew that vanishes the minute the work wraps.

Corporate and office relocations that run on the building’s schedule

The same list rides with every commercial job: proof of insurance for both buildings, a loading-dock window, a freight elevator booked, clearance and badging at Offutt or any other secured site, and a facilities sign-off. We nail each item down ahead, so no one on the crew pulls up to a locked dock at midnight on a Saturday. Workstations are broken down, tagged by person or floor, and put back together at the destination; records boxes and computer equipment are crated and tracked; and we claim a curb spot wherever a downtown Omaha block leaves no other way to load. The whole move is built around your calendar so no working hour is lost, with a coordinator running it from the first walkthrough to the last desk in place.

What an office or commercial relocation takes in

  • After-hours, weekend, and overnight slots that let a company or agency stay open
  • The building requirements taken off your plate: proof of insurance, a dock window, a booked freight elevator, a facilities sign-off
  • Offutt and secured-site work, clearance, badging, and dock timing folded in
  • Workstations stripped down, tagged, and reassembled, with records and computer gear crated and tracked

Stuck with furniture or files between lease dates? Our short-term storage keeps them inventoried and climate-controlled until you need them. Have to get a workstation or a server running tonight? That is a job for last-minute and same-day moving. Request a written quote and you will hear back inside one business hour.

“It was a great service with fairly clear pricing. The only reason I gave a 4 was because we pay before they actually finish the delivery. So I felt the guys did a less after payment with all boxes left in the garage instead of moving them up to the rooms upstairs. They did break one item so I am hoping the insurance works…”

“The movers came to my house and packed up. Brett and the two guys were great to work with. When my stuff was ready to be delivered the driver was very friendly and considerate. The two men from the local company that unloaded went above and beyond to help me get my refrigerator in the house. I am very grateful for their service and efforts. I would recommend them for a move.”

Service FAQ

Can you run the move outside business hours?

That is most of our commercial work. We slot it overnight, on a weekend, or after hours, so the company holds normal hours and the staff walks in Monday to a space already cabled and arranged. The desks are live by the time the first person badges in, and not a single working day is given up to the move itself.

Do you handle Offutt and restricted-site moves?

Yes, regularly, across Omaha and the metro. We manage the clearance, badging, and dock timing that Offutt Air Force Base and other secured sites call for, lock the insurance certificate and facilities sign-off down beforehand, and track records and equipment on a numbered list all the way. Our own W-2 crews carry the job from start to finish.

Will you arrange the COI, the loading dock, and the freight elevator on both ends?

We can. A commercial building or campus usually wants proof of insurance, a loading-dock window, a freight elevator reserved, and a facilities sign-off. We settle each one ahead of time, so when move night arrives no one on our team gets waved off at a locked dock and the schedule holds together.

Will you take the cubicles apart and rebuild them?

Yes. Workstations and desks break down, get tagged by person or floor, travel, and go back together at the destination, so everyone returns to their own spot. Records, computers, and gear are crated and tracked right beside them, and the layout follows a plan locked at the walkthrough rather than figured out on the night.

Can you move a full multi-floor office at once?

Yes, across the metro's offices. When a firm or agency moves or consolidates floors, we empty them on a mapped, timed schedule, set furniture and records in our climate-controlled storage if the build-out runs behind, and bring each floor over as the rooms come ready. A coordinator keeps hold of it from end to end.
